Myth 1: Oiling helps to reduce dandruff.
Fact: Oiling increases dandruff. Dandruff is caused by a fungus ,Pityrosporum ovale which feeds on oil.
Myth 2: Plucking single white hair will lead to more white hair production.
Fact: No its not true.
Myth 3: Shaving leads to darker and coarser hair
Fact; Shaving has no effect on hair growth. New hair which are not exposed to sunlight, soaps and makeup appear darker and thicker for few days after shaving. These will appear normal after few days.
Myth 4:You don’t need sunscreen on cloudy days
Fact: You need sunscreen even on cloudy days, indoors and also in winter
Myth 5:No moisturizer for oily skin
Fact:Oily skin needs moisturizers too. Infact if you don’t use moisturizer you skin will sense it dry and produce more oil in turn and clog your pores and increase acne.
Myth 6:Chemical peels thin out your skin
Fact: Chemical peels reduce pigmentation, tan and infact increase collagen production.
Myth 7:Frequent hair washes cause hair fall
Fact:If you wash your hair less frequently it might make your scalp oily and itchy and increase hair fall
Myth 8: Washing face frequently is good for oily skin
Fact: Washing face again and again removes essential oils and protective barrier of skin, gives entry to infections and allergies.
so restrict facewash to two times and always moisturize after it.
